Song Lyrics

Maybe I'm too sentimental, but I really like to listen to song lyrics. I especially like finding songs that are about relationships. I think I already shared my love for Michael Buble's song "Haven't Met You Yet". Here are two more that I really like. The first one is a song for single people, the second is for people who have found that special someone. They are both by a group called Melee.

She's Gonna Find Me Here

Now I don't have to climb the highest mountain
And I don't have to sail the seven seas.
Now I don't have to push myself through desert sands
'Cause she's gonna find me here.

And I don't have to put on all my best clothes
And I don't have to put on a show.
Now I don't have to act like a total stranger
'Cause she's gonna find me here.

When she finally arrives
It will be right on time.
And I'll know that it's real
'Cause the light in her eyes
Will look through and show what a fool I had been
To search far and wide with my heart in my hands.

And I don't have to worry about her
'Cause I know she's fine, now, on her own.
Now can put my mind on things in my own life
'Cause shes gonna find me here.
You know that she's gonna find me here.

Now I don't have to cut up my heart
Into pieces so small
And give them to those who don't care.
Now I don't have to search for one girl
In the depths of my soul
'Cause she's gonna find me
You know she's gonna find me here.
I don't have to search far and wide
'Cause she's gonna find me here

Built To Last

I've looked for love in stranger places,
but never found someone like you.
Someone whose smile makes me feel I've been holding back,
and now there's nothing I can't do.

All of our friends saw from the start.
So why didn't we believe it too?
Whoa yeah, now look where we are.
You're in my heart now.
And there's no escaping it for you.

'Cause this is real, and this is good.
It warms the inside just like it should,
but most of all it's built to last.

Walking on the hills that night with those fireworks and candlelight
You and I were made to get love right

'Cause you are the sun in my universe,
considered the best when we've felt the worst
and most of all it's built to last.

Seattle Take 2

So now that my second summer in Seattle is almost over I have decided to do a post about it. This summer has definitely been harder, but still enjoyable. The reasons it is so enjoyable (1) I am in one of the most beautiful cities ever! (2) I am with people that I love. For those of you who don't know, I am here in Seattle doing the same internship I did last summer, except I am the boss lady. Me and my co-leader had to hire 18 research assistants to bring up here with us...and wouldn't you know I am in love with every single one of them now. Its like they are my children. I chose them and so I adore each of them. They work hard, they play hard, and they love me (everybody needs to be loved) - even though sometimes I am crazy. Can you imagine going to work and having me lead your work meetings...in tye-dye? It's fun:) and stressful. Sometimes I can't imagine giving this job up and some days I feel it will never end.

This is my team in tye-dye. We had a party! Even our professor (Dr. Bean) and his family did some. Yes I am wearing tye-dye jeans.

Me and Rachel, my co-Field Director and roommate.

Great team photo, huh!

Okay here we are for real, looking VERY professional.

Here we are working hard in the office (which is really just an apartment).

We are sorting questionnaires...500 of them...so fun.
